Hakodate Park is bathed entirely in pink, as 700 cherry trees blossom in splendid profusion. Every year some people enjoy viewing the blossoms in the evening and having parties under the flowers while eating jingisukan, or mutton barbecue, a specialty of Hokkaido. Meanwhile, in Goryokaku Park 2,600 someiyoshino cherry trees blossom one after another, and color the park with pink. *Schedule is determined according to flower forecast.
